Centre for Social Responsibility in Mining

Writing reports can be difficult and time consuming. Throw in a few complexities – multiple authors, competing interests, pressing deadlines – and the task becomes even harder. The Centre for Social Responsibly (part of the Sustainable Minerals Institute at the University of Queensland) recently asked me to edit a report on the impact of mining on Mongolian herder communities. I worked with the authors to edit and proofread the 90+page report.  The end result, the culmination of several years of field research, was very well received in Mongolia and Australia, and earned the authors international media attention.
